Introduction to Mahjong

Mahjong combines chance, skill, strategy and calculation, making it both challenging and fun. We offer two fantastic options for you to explore Mahjong: the Beginners Introduction Class and the Playing Group.
 
In our Beginners Introduction Class, you will be taught the fundamentals of the game, including rules, terminology and gameplay. This class is perfect for those new to Mahjong or looking to refresh their knowledge in a supportive environment.
 
2026 Term Dates & Costs:
Term 1 | Thursday, 12 February to 5 March | $80
Term 2 | Not going ahead in term 2, 2026
Term 3 | Thursday, 6 August to 27 August | $80
Term 4 | Not going ahead in term 4, 2026
Please note: There will be no classes on Victorian public holidays.
 
Time: 2pm to 4pm

Enrolments are taken on a term-by-term basis. There will be no classes on Victorian public holidays.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • There will be no classes on Victorian public holidays.

  • Bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.

  • This class requires a minimum number of participants to proceed. If minimum enrolments are not met, the class may be cancelled and a full refund or credit will be offered.

  • We are unable to offer make up classes, transfers or refunds for missed classes.

  • Enrolments are taken on a term-by-term basis.

  • If you are unable to attend, you agree to notify Sandybeach Centre by phone or email as soon as possible. A non-attendance fee may apply if you do not notify us, to help cover catering, entertainment and event costs.

  • You consent to photographs and videos taken during programs or events being used by Sandybeach Centre for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media and marketing materials.

  • You agree to receive SMS and email communications relating to your booking and relevant Sandybeach Centre programs, events and updates.
