Be Ready to Work in Care and Support
The aged care and disability support sector is growing rapidly, and caring, compassionate workers are in high demand. This introductory course is designed for learners interested in exploring employment opportunities in the care and support industry.
You’ll learn in a supportive, relaxed environment while developing the knowledge and skills needed to take your first step in this rewarding field.
What you’ll cover:
Roles and career pathways in care and support services
Legislative and ethical responsibilities in care work
Safe work practices and workplace expectations
Person-centred care: social inclusion, respect, and empowerment
Effective communication and teamwork
Working with people from diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities
Practical insights through guest speakers and industry connections
Pathways to entry-level roles or further study, such as the Certificate III in Individual Support
By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence and a clear understanding of the options available to you in health and community services.
