Dance, Movement and Music for Older Adults

Enjoy gentle dance, movement and music in this supportive class for seniors in Sandringham, Bayside Melbourne. Designed for those with mobility or memory support needs, this program uses rhythm and movement to build confidence, connection and wellbeing.

  • Older adults who would benefit from gentle, supported movement 
  • People living with memory changes, including dementia 
  • Those with limited mobility or reduced confidence in physical activity 
  • Individuals seeking a safe and inclusive social connection 
  • CHSP participants and seniors living independently in the community 
  • Carers and support workers (welcome to attend alongside participants)

Term 1 | Wednesday, 28 January to 1 April | $202, $152 subsidised*
Term 2 | Wednesday, 15 April to 24 June | $222.20, $167.20 subsidised* 
Term 3 | Wednesdays (fortnightly), 15 July to 9 September | $101, $76 subsidised*
Term 4 | Wednesdays (fortnightly), 30 September to 9 December | $121, $91.20 subsidised*
Please note: There will be no classes on Victorian public holidays.

You're welcome to join at any time during the term and we’re happy to offer free trial classes, just ask! *Concession-subsidised pricing is available for clients referred by My Aged Care or holders of a DVA Gold Card. There will be no classes on Victorian public holidays. Our venue is wheelchair accessible. Transport may also be available for seniors attending Social Support Programs who live locally (subject to availability and eligibility). Prices and dates may be subject to change. Enrolments are taken on a term-by-term basis. Welcoming participants from Sandringham, Hampton, Brighton, Beaumaris, Black Rock and across Bayside Melbourne and surrounding suburbs. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Cancellations by Sandybeach Centre 
Classes require minimum enrolments to proceed. If Sandybeach Centre cancels a class, program or event, participants will receive a full refund or credit. Refunds will be returned to the original payment method.

Participant Cancellations 
Unless otherwise stated, cancellations and transfer requests must be received at least 7 days before the start date. A $40 administration fee may apply. No refunds or transfers are available within 7 days or after a program has commenced. Materials already purchased may be excluded from the refund.

Events 
Refund requests must be received at least 7 days before the event. If you are unable to attend, please notify Sandybeach Centre as soon as possible. A non-attendance fee may apply where costs such as catering or entertainment have already been incurred. ​​

ACFE Subsidised Places 

Withdrawal must be made in writing within 4 weeks of commencement. 

• No training undertaken: refund less $20 administration fee 

• Part training completed: pro-rata refund less $20 administration fee 

• Accredited courses: $50 administration fee 

• After 4 weeks: no refund

General By booking, you agree to receive communications relating to your booking and relevant Sandybeach Centre programs and events. Photography or video taken during programs and events may be used for Sandybeach Centre promotional purposes. There are no classes on Victorian public holidays.

 

Humanitix Refunds: Participants can request a refund through their Humanitix account up to 7 days before the class, program or event start date. Refunds are not available within 7 days of the start date.
