Childcare and Early Learning Centre

Sandybeach Childcare and Early Learning Centre is a small, friendly occasional care centre for children 0-5 years. Our excellent adult to child ratio, low centre numbers (max 21) and qualified staff, enable all children including those with learning challenges or development delay, to feel that they belong and are part of the community. Our aim is to provide children with enjoyable, safe and stimulating education and care.

You do not have to be attending Sandybeach classes to use the service. Our Centre is open to all parents and carers.

Please note: All sessions are in accordance with COVID-19 government regulations; such as social distancing, sanitising provisions, cleaning and disinfecting.”

School Holiday Service

Subject to demand. Preference is given to children attending the Centre during school terms. Our Centre does not operate on public holidays.

Orientation to the Childcare and Early Learning Centre

You are welcome to make an appointment to spend time in the ELC with your child before you make the decision to enrol. Once enrolled, you are invited to stay for as long as it takes you and your child to feel relaxed and confident about separating.

All my three children have attended the Early Learning Centre and have thrived in the warm, friendly and nurturing environment that the educators provide. All of our girls have loved their days at Sandybeach, a place where they feel secure, cared for and comfortable to be themselves. We are all made to feel like we belong and have become a part of the community of families and friends who attend. Our family has been absolutely thrilled with the care provided by Sandybeach for our son over the last few years.

It has been a welcoming environment for him and our whole family.

The staff are attentive, dedicated, warm and caring. They have helped our son settle in and feel part of the community at Sandybeach.

I cannot recommend Sandybeach ELC highly enough. My son has been attending for two years and he is very happy there. The carers are so lovely. They really get to know the children and they have been so good at building my son's confidence and bringing him out of his shell. They offer a fun, varied program which keeps the kids busy and teaches them great skills for life. Highly recommend!

The end of 2018 is also marking the end of the our family attending Sandy Beach childcare centre which is very emotional for us. We wanted to send a note to thank you and your team once again for the amazing care you have provided our two boys for the past 7 years. Both boys attended Sandy Beach from the time they were 1 year old to the time they started school. The team at Sandy Beach have cared for our boys so beautifully. The attention given and stimulation provided to them has adapted as their little bodies and minds have grown over the years. Your smiling faces and genuine care for every child that walks through those doors is evident and we cannot thank you enough for providing our boys with such a nurturing environment in which to spend their early childhood years. Sandybeach Childcare Centre has been wonderful for my family in looking after my twins over the past 2 years and currently.
My children want to go to what they fondly refer to as “Sandy”. The carers are experienced, so invested in the children's welfare and learning.
As a parent with little family support in Australia, I have never felt more comfortable leaving my children and knowing they are happy and safe. The carers feel like an extension of our family – truly! They are consistently the same each week and so my children feel very secure and have built such meaningful relationships with each and everyone of them. My son, who has additional needs (Cerebral Palsy), has been welcomed with open arms. His physical limitations have never been an issue, and they are so very inclusive that he feels just like all the other kids. It is heart warming as a parent to witness his love of the place and the people. The centre radiates warmth, community, inclusion, family and all the home values that money can’t buy.
I am sincerely grateful for my children to have a home away from home that I know they love, learn and grow from. I unreservedly highly recommend this centre and we will be grateful for many years to come.

The Sandy Beach Centre provides a very nurturing and calm environment for young children. The educators are exceptional human beings with a genuine love for children and it is clear that working there is much more than just a job for them. It is the staff that make this place awesome.

Throughout this year my two little ones have learned so much and have developed beautiful friendships with both the staff and other children. They love going there and when I pick them up they have huge smiles on their faces!
