Do you want to make a difference –have an IMPACT? If you are a young person between 15 and 20,the IMPACT Program could be just what you are looking for. IMPACT lets you pick an area you’re
interested in,get some work experience and then design a project that will
make a real contribution.
Learning at Sandybeach Centre is relaxed and
friendly and gives you the chance to experience working in areas such as:
- Aged Care activity programs
- Childcare and Early Learning programs
- Cooking and hospitality
- Facilities management
- Social media,website and design
- Programs for people with a mild intellectual
disability
You’ll be able to choose the program you
are most interested in and design a project that will make a positive
difference in that area. Working on your project and during your work
experience,you’ll gain lots of skills such as communication,teamwork,problem
solving,time management and planning. More importantly though,you’ll get to
meet new people,experience life in a community centre and enjoy the
satisfaction of making a real difference to the lives of others.
