Board & Cooperative Society

Sandybeach Community Co-operative Society Limited trades as Sandybeach Centre and is owned and managed by the community under the stewardship of a seven-member Board of Directors, all of whom are volunteers. The Directors are responsible for board portfolios: business viability, finance, governance, human resources, legal matters, risk management and board administration. Sandybeach Centre is a not-for-profit entity with community shareholders. No dividends are paid to shareholders.

The Board on behalf of all Sandybeach Centre staff and volunteers would like to welcome Sue Hart to the position of CEO as of 18 April 2016.

Sue has extensive experience in the NFP Community sector as well as working with private providers. She is committed to working with our staff, aiming towards a sustainable future regardless of changes to government policy.

Stephanie Green Stephanie Green  Foundation Deg. School Bus Mngt (Manchester Metropolitan University); Dip. of Admin Mngt, Private Secretary’s Dip., Adv. Dip. Health and Safety (Macclesfield College of Further Education); Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Sandybeach Centre.Stephanie has worked as a Business Manager, Bursar and Clerk to Governors at Lower Park School, Poynton, England. Since coming to Australia with her family in 2009,she has undertaken study at Sandybeach,worked as a volunteer and a paid worker in the Aged Care Industry. Her extensive experience covers financial management,strategic planning and health and safety.
Elaine MilneDiploma of Education (HS College), Diploma of Art (RMIT),Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Management (Chair Academy USA), Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Sandybeach Centre).

Elaine has had 20 years experience as a teacher and manager in the TAFE system. Her management experience in TAFE is wide ranging and includes operational management in Health, Community Services, ESL, VCE and Art. Elaine worked at Sandybeach Centre for 6 years as the Community Education Manager with responsibility for adult education courses, the management of Sandybeach’s education delivery contract with the Adult Community and Further Education Board, the Centre’s compliance as a registered training organisation with the Victorian Qualifications Authority and human resources in the education area. Elaine has small business administration experience with a family building business.

Chris D’ArcyBA (Hons) Business Studies, City of London Polytechnic, Business School. MSC Glass Technology and Management University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. Certificate IV in Training &Assessment TAE40110 Holmesglen Institute of TAFE. Certificate I in IT ICA105 Sandybeach Centre. Assessment of Informal Learning 21812 Vic CAE. 

Chris worked for Owens Illinois, a US based Fortune 500 Company manufacturing glass packaging. Latterly he was General Manager, Sales and Marketing for O-I Asia Pacific and Chairman of O-I Indonesia. He retired in 2007 after 34 years with the company. These roles have given him extensive experience in marketing, sales and risk management. From 2008 until 2012, Chris has worked in community education in the not for profit sector as a sessional teacher, consultant and as a member of the Committee of Management at Hampton Community Centre. His teaching has included delivering the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, computer courses and mentoring for both seniors and youth programs.

Lois Lindsay –  Registered General Nurse/Midwifery Nurse. Post Graduate Cert. Premature Infants/Sick Neonates ( U.K.) Post Graduate Cert. Infection Control/Sterilization. Ba.Applied Science (Admin). Graduate Diploma Heath Service Management. Previous Accredited Surveyor A.C.H.S. Certificate Aged Care Assessor Course.

My Career spanned 53 years in various Health Care settings involving medium to large Teaching Hospitals within Public and Private envoronments and Aged Care Organizations. These roles were in Senior and Exucutive Managerial positions in my last 26 years of my career.Since retirement in 2007 I have been actively involved in my Local Bayside Community as a Volunteer at Sandringham Hospital as well asd a Member of Beaumaris Rotary.

Andrew McLorinanBachelor of Arts, Associate Diploma of Marketing, Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Policy and Management Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Mayor of the City of Bayside (2008).

Andrew is currently the Deputy Director of Fellowship and Services with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Rajah RamanathanB Comm (Melbourne) CA,F FIN.

Rajah currently holds the position of COO/CFO Company Secretary with the Transcomm Credit Co-operative Limited. He has a background in Chartered Accounting with extensive experience in General Management, Strategic Planning, corporate Governance (including external and internal auditing) Risk Management and drafting Corporate Policies and has spent the last 28 years working in the banking and finance industry. He has also served as Council President of the Worthing Road Primary School. His interests include his family, Beaumaris and Melbourne Football Clubs and the local community. In his spare time he enjoys reading, playing music and gardening.
