Staff and Volunteers:
![]() | Meet CarolAfter working in the Department of Education as an Integration Aide for 8 years,a friend suggested that I might like to volunteer at Sandybeach Centre. My first volunteer position was with the Disability Living in the Community class. I found the class to be rewarding and informative for the clients. After a brief time in Singapore,I took on the role of volunteer REACH bus jockey for the Monday Artbeat class. I started volunteering at Sandybeach Centre in 2008 and the time I spend there is enjoyable, with a welcoming feeling of belonging and being appreciated. It is now very much part of who I am. I have met and worked with some wonderful people and I hope that my small contribution to enhancing people’s lives has been as beneficial to them as it has to me. |
![]() | Meet PamPam has been a volunteer in the Reception and Front Office area of Sandybeach Centre since September 1998. Working a regular full day,as well as making herself available for extra shifts when needed,Pam is an invaluable member of the hard working team of stall and volunteers in this vital area of our organisation. Her skills and per calm and quiet disposition make her perfect for this role. Pam also takes advantage of the fitness and exercise programs offered at Sandybeach to help maintain her health and general wellbeing. |
![]() | Meet Maree In 2010 I decided to change my career and studied Certificate III in Children’s Services at Sandybeach Centre. After completing the course I applied for a position at Sandybeach in the Childcare and Early Learning Centre. It is such a joy,and very rewarding, interacting and caring for the children. |
