Jane Clifton is well known to the Melbourne public as a popular actress and singer.

More recently, many people have also come to enjoy her as a writer of two crime novels, A Hand in the Bush and Half Past Dead. Join us for a very entertaining session as Jane talks about her latest book, The Address Book.

Sandybeach Centre in partnership with Central Bayside Adult Community Options were awarded the Bayside Community Event of the Year for the 2011 ZING Art Exhibtion. The Award was presented at the Australia Day Celebrations on Thursday 26 January at the Council office grounds in Royal Avenue.

Virginia Mort (right), the main driving force behind ZING accepted the award with Vicki Black from Central Bayside.

Sandybeach Centre wins Community Based Adult Learning Provider of the Year!

Sandybeach Centre in Sandringham has won a prestigious national award for Community Based Adult Learning Provider of the Year.
Conferred by Adult Learning Australia, this award recognises “outstanding achievement and contribution as a provider of adult learning”.
Sandybeach Centre CEO Jeanette Brown said “I know that our staff do a wonderful job, and it’s great to see that rewarded. We are very proud to bring such a high-profile national award back to Sandringham”.
Sandybeach Centre is also one of only three national finalists for the National Focus Awards Community Pathways to VET, part of the Australian Training Awards being held in Brisbane in November.
