Do you care for a relative who is aged, frail or suffering dementia? Would you like the opportunity to have short breaks while your family member enjoys stimulating social activities in a supportive environment?
Reach Respite provides out of home respite with a social focus in the municipalities of Bayside, Kingston and Glen Eira. Supported transport may be available.
Respite activities in Bayside are provided in conjunction with the REACH program and include Artbeat, Music Alive, Armchair Travel, Life Stories and excursions. Music Activity programs provide respite for residents in Kingston on Wednesday afternoons and Glen Eira on Thursday afternoons.
Carers’ Support Group
The Carers’ Support Group is designed to give carers an opportunity to share experiences, obtain information that will assist in the caring role and also focus on the carer’s health and well-being. Guest speakers at our monthly meetings will cover a range of topics including legal issues for carers, dealing with dementia behaviours, falls prevention, Tai Chi, relaxation and meditation.
For inquiries about the Carers’ Support Group, contact Tim Gerrard on 9598 2155 or email us.
